Position: Part-Time Bourbon Bottling Assistant

Reports to: Barrel & Billets Manager

Position Summary: The Bottling Assistant is expected to fill bottles with bourbon via machine. Bottles will be filled per custom orders and for retail bottle inventory restock. The Bottling Assistant prints out labels for bottles, applies labels to bottles, and keeps track of how many bottles are made on any given day.

Essential Functions:

  • Print, label, fill, cork and seal bottles of bourbon.
  • Keep track of bottle inventory throughout the day, restocking bottles as necessary.
  • Ensures Barrels & Billets experience opens and closes according to policy during MOD shifts
  • Assist Barrels & Billets manager with any BOH duties that need to be fulfilled.
  • Ensure BOH is clean, organized, and stocked each day. 
  • Answer customer questions in regards to the bottle ordering/fulfillment process.

Other Duties:Work nights and weekends as needed. Performs other job-related duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred but not required-Equivalent experience will be considered
  • Minimum 5 years experience in service industry and/or hospitality
  • Experience with retail sales and marketing
  • Knowledge of bourbon beneficial

Position: Part-Time Bourbon Experience Guide

Reports to: Barrel & Billets Manager

Position Summary: The Bourbon Experience Guide is expected to teach and lead classes held throughout the day. Guides are to hold engaging and educational experiences about bourbon in both small and large group settings. Experience Guides assist guests in making their own custom bourbon, learning how to taste different bourbons, and understanding bourbon history.

Essential Functions:

  • Lead private tour groups through the Bourbon Blending Experience, coaching and guiding guests throughout the process.
  • Ensure world-class guest experience and business operations in every facet of bourbon blending attraction.
  •  Ensures Barrels & Billets experience opens and closes according to policy during MOD shifts
  •  Set up and break down of group tour and blending experience.
  •  Ensure glasses, utensils and serving areas remain clean and organized.
  •  Able to handle sales transactions at the cash register.

Other Duties: Work nights and weekends. Performs other job-related duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred but not required-Equivalent experience will be considered

Position: Part-Time Brand Ambassador

Reports to: Barrel & Billets General Manager

Position Summary: Our Brand Ambassador is expected to be well versed in all front-line roles of Barrels & Billets. Coaching guests as they blend their own custom bourbon is the most important function of this role. Brans Ambassadors will also assist with operations (blending & bottling), serving and teaching at the teaching bar, running the register for bottle and merchandise sales, and leading consumer experience presentations. Brand Ambassadors must remain flexible and assist in any area of the experience at any time.

Essential Functions:

  • Ensure world-class guest experience in every facet of bourbon blending attraction.
  • Engage and coach guests as they enjoy the 40-minute video and create their custom bourbon.
  • Blending and bottling of custom bourbon and other products.
  • Serve and teach customers at the teaching bar.
  • Lead consumer experience presentations and set up/and break down area.
  • Ensures cleaning procedures and safety standards are upheld throughout the attraction.
  • Ensures glasses, utensils, and serving areas remain clean.
  • Handles sales transactions at the cash register.
  • Ensures bar is well stocked throughout shift.
  • Provide backup to all areas of Barrels & Billets. Cross-train in all areas to assist with daily tasks.
  • Responsible for alerting the Manager or Assistant Manager of any system or equipment issues.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma
  • Minimum five years experience in the service industry and or hospitality
  • Experience with retail sales and marketing
  • Must have a professional appearance
  • Knowledge of bourbon is beneficial but not required
